Winter Favorites- Jacob

Jacob is an engineer with a large company here in Austin and he doesn't necessarily have a dress code.  He'll end up wearing a t-shirt, jeans, fleece jacket, and tennis shoes most days.  However, when the weekend rolls around, we have some favorites...or more like I have some favorites for him.  :)

1. Columbia Fleece 2. Jeans 3. Sperry Top Sider 4. Casual button up shirt (Similar here)

What are your winter go-to's for your favorite guy?

Weekend Wrap Up: Gigi and Granddad Edition

My parents (Avery's Gigi and Granddad) moved into their new house earlier this week.  I'm talking drinking-out-of-paper-cups type of just moved in.  We had an engagement party/couples shower for my cousin in Dallas to attend so we figured we would just make a weekend out of it and see the new house.  Side note- who do I need to write a strongly worded letter to about the construction on I35W.  I mean seriously.  4.5 hours to get here??  When it normally takes 3 or less??  Come on.  I don't have patience.  I was too impatient to stand in line to wait for it.

My cousin Lindsey and I at her couples shower.  I can't wait for the wedding in April!  It'll be a party for sure!

Watching "the movie that shall not be name" (read: Frozen) with Granddad.

Never mind there's a chair there...it's more fun to lay under than table and watch your favorite movie.

Someone loves to be outside.  Thankfully it was warm enough she only needed a light jacket. ...name that movie...

Avery loved to play ball with Ellie.  She hasn't quite grasped the concept that Ellie has to run to get the ball.  Jacob or my dad would throw the ball and Ellie would jet off to get it...to which Avery would start yelling, "No Ellie No!"

Conversations with a toddler are my favorite:

"Avery, are you having fun?"
"Yah"
"Avery, love you"
"Luh you momma"
"Can you say cheese?"
"Sheesh"

Weekend Wrap Up

I don't know about the weather where you are, but it has been down-right-beautiful disgusting outside this weekend.  Winter finally decided to show herself in Texas.  It started sleeting at our house on Friday and continued on through the weekend.  By now, it's Sunday night and Avery is in bed (a whole hour early) and Jacob and I have a serious case of cabin fever.  I never realized how much of an outside person I was until I couldn't go outside because I was afraid my nose might freeze off.

This is the look of satiety...or disgust.  Hard to tell.

Ready for!!!!!  ....a day spent indoors.  Thanks weather.

My ice window.   I may or may not have been singing Frozen songs waiting on the windows to thaw so I could safely get to work Saturday.

Snuggles while watching Frozen.  Jacob and I are about ready to "lose" Elsa.   Let her go...let her go...can't listen to it anymore!  Let it go....let it go....

Lunch after church today.  This was before the afternoon of screaming and crying commenced.  For some reason Sundays reallllly mess up Avery's schedule.  She thought the little 10 minute cat-nap she took in her teacher's lap was sufficient for her normal 2.5 hour nap.  No ma'am.  It's not.  In no way, shape, form, or fashion.  This is why she was in bed at 7pm.

Hopefully your weekend was warm and filled with fun!

Winter Favorites - Avery

Here's a handful of favorites around our house right now.  Avery is in a dress mood (hallelujah) and loves to twirl in them.  Now if only we could keep those bows in our hair...we would be alllll girl at that point.  The Deer Dress paired very nicely with warm leggings and a denim jacket for church yesterday.  She kept saying she had Sven from Frozen on her dress.

The only shoes this little one will keep on her feet are her boots.  We have picked her up from school and they've told us that she kept her shoes on all day.  What?  Are we talking about the same person here?

I've nicknamed the Shawl Sweater her Mr. Rodgers sweater.  It's cute beyond words and goes with everything.  Won't you be my neighbor?

What are your favorites right now?

Christmas 2014

A picture review of Christmas 2014....or if you follow me on Instagram (which you should...) #TerkelsenChristmasShenanigans

Red cup in hand, let's get this party started.

Baking cookies with Memaw!

Having a conversation about what Santa is bringing her.  I believe her response was, "applesauce".

Looking at lights in downtown Frisco

"Hi tree!"

Last minute shopping at playing at the Galleria

Playing with her second cousin, Parker.

Avery with her second cousin, Sydney.  They almost share a birthday!

Getting ready to go to Uncle Josh's church for a Christmas Eve service.

....so naturally we bust out in "If You're Happy and You Know It..."  Say Hooray.

All this Christmas-ing is exhausting.

The thug life chose her.  The Christmas thug life.  Ho Ho Ho.

Santa brought a doll bed, chair, and mini toy box!

Opening up so many awesome presents sure does work up an appetite.

Post present opening "Frozen" viewing.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Well....yes.

After Christmas shopping and I run into one of my favorite Instagram personalities!

Opening presents at Christmas #2 with Gigi, Granddad, Dede, Uncle Jeremy, and Aunt Valerie

That face...melt me.

Dede loved his Baylor tie!  We can't wait to see him wear it when he gets his Alumni By Choice award from President Starr in February!
