"Punki" Patch 2014

Last Friday Avery and I (along with friends and more friends from church) went an hour to the east to Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls.  Let me tell you, if you wanted to ever isolate me and never worry about me leaving- hide me off of 1431 past Lago Vista.  That was some of the windiest twistiest road I've EVER driven.  Ever.  I think the only reason I didn't get too car sick was the fact that I was driving.  We'll take the long way to the farms next year to avoid that drive.  Yeesh.

Anyhoot.  Avery had a blast at the farms.  She was hesitant of the pumpkins ("punki") at first but quickly got over it when she saw all of her friends playing around them.  We are still in that "Mom- just let me roam around on my own" stage so getting her to stop long enough for a photo op was a challenge.  All that being said, I think some of her best pictures historically are candid's.  Avery went on her first hay ride, helped momma pick flowers, and picked out her first pumpkin.

"Come on momma, there's punki's to play on"

Group shot....almost.

Helping pick flowers.  She was a great vase holder.

"Pweeeettttyyyy"

Checking out her flowers

We had an absolute blast at the farms on Friday.  Avery wore herself out- she was asleep in her car seat about 5 minutes after I got her in to go home.  We will be making a return trip next year- for sure.

In other news, I tried to get Avery to try on her Halloween costume the other day....her response?  "No way".  Don't worry- she'll wear it- even if it's only long enough to take a few pictures.
